Our Commitment to the Planet

In the interest of minimizing our impact on the environment, we attempt to use bio-based and recovered products whenever possible. Some of these efforts include the use of biofuels in our machines, vegetable-based lubricant for saws, and the utilization of new, old stock, surplus hardware or reclaimed materials when possible and appropriate.

PHILOSOPHY

We use sustainable construction techniques to integrate trails and structures into the existing topography and environment. This creates trails that flow well, drain water efficiently, are easier to maintain, preserve significant natural features, and are aesthetically pleasing. Good trail design also considers anticipated trail use, soil conditions and terrain, and attempts to avoid areas which are ecologically sensitive or are especially  important to wildlife. Overall, we try to minimize impact and create opportunities for a responsible, natural experience while focusing use to established corridors and avoiding user conflicts.
